Kenta is a rookie police detective assigned to a precinct where he’s kept under the thumbs of some scary superiors. If he plans to keep this job, he’ll have to earn their respect. This self-proclaimed “warrior of love and peace” finds their treatment a hard pill to swallow, but, he rationalizes, he’s still in training.

Episode Synopses

Episode 1
22-year-old rookie detective Kenta decides to take on the job of raising his two nieces and a nephew when his older brother and his wife are killed in a traffic accident. Asuka loves Kenta, but is daunted by the thought of having to raise three kids.

Episode 2
Kenta promises Asuka that he will go to reassure her father that he will be able to take care of his job, the kids, as well as Asuka. However, Kenta ends up breaking his word when he is called to the school because his nephew Yohei has been bullying other kids.

Episode 3
Asuka defies her father and moves in with Kenta. Kenta has his hands full with the kids, but Asuka is somewhat mollified when he shows her how he’s been saving money to buy her a ring. However, he ends up having to use that money on his niece Hazuki.

Episode 4
Hazuki is the source of countless headaches for Kenta. One day, deciding that she needs money, she goes to the offices of a gang of yakuza. Kenta goes rushing to find her, and gets beaten up in the process. Hazuki is so grateful to be saved and opens her heart to her uncle.

Episode 5
Tajima, a relative, asks Kenta to pay off the 3.5 million yen that Toshio had borrowed and he had co-signed. He has documents to prove his claim. Kenta and the kids are stunned, but later discover in Toshio’s diary that it was really Tajima who had borrowed the money.

Episode 6
Yohei becomes infatuated with a girl who will soon be moving away. He finally works up the nerve to ask Mai for a date. They go to the woods and aren’t back by nightfall. Kenta goes after them, but soon word reaches him of a murderer suspect hiding in the same woods!

Episode 7
Everyone is happy when Asuka discovers that she is pregnant. Meanwhile, Kenta arrests a man who has been stalking Sachiko. Their relief is short-lived since Kenta later discovers that Sachiko is also the target of a serial killer. Kenta becomes a decoy to draw out the killer.

Episode 8
Kenta takes everyone on a camping trip at a lake near Mt. Fuji. They meet up with Gaku, a local boy who seems very friendly and helpful. But everything Gaku says is a lie. He tells little Futaba a lie which has her walking to a store on a rainy night. A frantic search ensues.

Episode 9
Hazuki brings her fatherless friend Rie home one day. Every year, Rie has prepared a Father's Day gift for the father she hasn't seen since infancy. Then one day, Kenta comes across the fingerprints of a murderer who turns out to be Rie's father.

Episode 10
In the midst of Kenta and Asuka's busy wedding preparations, Sachiko declares her love for Kenta. When Kenta refuses her advances Sachiko goes off dejected. Kenta worries that she might have committed suicide, when no one has any idea where she's gone.

Episode 11
15-year-old Hazuki drives Kenta crazy when she goes to Kunimatsu's room alone. Kenta later finds out that Kunimatsu has a gun, and has been recruited by a yakuza gang. Kenta goes after him to try to knock some sense into his head.

Episode 12 Final Episode
Kenta leaves the wedding preparations to Asuka, and concentrates on investigating Jinnai. Jinnai threatens to kill the three children. When a fake bomb goes off at Futaba's kindergarten, Kenta sends the three into hiding, but not long later, they disappear!
