The high school band program will be discontinued if the membership isnt increased. Misaki tries to drum up interest among her schoolmates in order to save the band. She perks up when she discovers that her classmate Yuki is a former member of the band and is a terrific sax player, but Yukis a hard nut to crack. This series stars two singers from the group SPEED: Imai Eriko and Arakaki Hitoe.

Episode 1
Misaki transfers to her fathers old alma mater and joins the brass band. Although she had heard wonderful stories of the band from her dad, she finds its just a shadow of its former self. She decides to make it her goal save the band program by talking more kids into joining.
Episode 2
Chies clarinet gets broken, and the band has no funds to replace it. Chies family business is flailing, so Chie decides she has no choice but to quit the band. Misaki comes up with an idea for a band performance to promote the store, but she has to talk everyone into helping her.
Episode 3
Misaki tries to talk Kazuomi into returning to the band. An all-around athlete and an honors student, Kazuomi is troubled because he hasnt found a goal in his life. When Misaki comes upon him playing his trumpet, he hands it to her saying it is a donation to the band.
Episode 4
Rikako quits the band in order to concentrate on her studies. Misaki does her best to persuade Rikako and Yuki to return to the band, but there seems to be bad blood between Rikako and the band.
Episode 5
The band is slowly shaping up. Everyone practices for a performance to attract more members. Meanwhile, the money they had set aside for instrument repairs disappears from Nanas locker.
Episode 6
Yuki has an opportunity to audition for a possible solo debut in New York. However, she has been suffering pains in her fingers, and hasnt told anyone.
Episode 7
The band members cant decide on the piece to play in the upcoming band competition. Their teacher brings out an old music piece composed by Misakis and Yukis fathers years ago.
Episode 8
Now that Yuki is back, the band is ready for the competition. But the band is faced with another problem--rumors have been spreading about another band member who, they say, has been prostituting herself, and is now pregnant.
Episode 9
The Koyo High School students are depressed when their baseball team fails to make the cut for the tournament. Meanwhile, it's uncertain whether the band will be able to participate in the band competition at all.
Episode 10
Word of Koyo High School's merger with another school has everyone talking about transferring to other schools. Meanwhile, Yuki's operation looks like a success. Kazuomi runs away from home after a disagreement with his father.
Episode 11
Now that Yuki is better, she'll be able to participate in the band competition. However, after the competition, the members will all go their own way. Then, the day before the competition, Kazuomi is injured in an accident.
Episode 12 - Final Episode
Kazuomi is still unconscious. The band members are hesitant to end their vigil at the hospital, but they decide to return to the competition for Kazuomi's sake. Day after day, Misaki returns to the hospital to await good news of Kazuomi...and finally, he awakens.
