Episode Synopses
Episode 1
Asai Kagetora works for a major steel company. He and his wife, Minako, return to Tokyo after seven years at a rural branch office. He's over the moon over his reinstatement and promotion, but things are hectic on the home front. They live in company housing, so Minako must deal with the sometimes catty wives of other company men.

Episode 2
Kagetora is at the peak of both confusion and anger. His daughter refuses to go to kindergarten, and his wife, Minako, is the source of discord within the company housing. Even at the office, younger employees are intimidating the others in the personnel division.

Episode 3
Kagetora and Minako are caught in the middle when their friend, Sukehiro, stumbles into their house after a fight with his wife. Kagetora's younger brother, Kagemaru, does the same over at Yaginoshita's place. Minako puts a plan in motion to get everyone back together.

Episode 4
These are desperate times for Kagetora who is wrapped up in big problems at the office and on the homefront. He has been put in charge of Takagi, a subordinate with women problems. Kagemaru reveals his living with Saori, and an angry Kagetora hits him. Appalled by his actions, Minako leaves the house with their daughter.

Episode 5
Kagetora meets with Yoko, an ex-girlfriend. Sai, seeing them together, smells an affair, and tells the others, unaware that Minako is also present. Amidst everyone's concern is Kagetora, oblivious to what's going on.

Episode 6
Aya is suspected of hidden alcoholism and binging on food. Yagishita also sees her at a hotel with a man. Everyone is worried about her. Kagemaru is asked to trail Aya, but fails, so Minako, in disguise, takes over. As Minako keeps an eye on her, Aya's surprising private life surfaces....

Episode 7
Suzu is down with a high fever and appoints Minako as the acting housing complex group leader, and before she knows it, Minako is the object of general aversion within the company housing. Meanwhile, Kagetora's in a pinch when none of the employees show up at the farewell party for those retiring. Around that time, Minako collapses...

Episode 8
Kagetora and Kagemaru's father comes to Tokyo wanting a successor to the family's steel
mill. While Kagetora decides to take over the family business, Takaki voices intentions to quit, and
Yagishita is in a panic with two people resigning. Amid the commotion and confusion at home and
the office, Tora, Minako, and Maru are called out by their father...

Episode 9
Everyone's on a health kick. Kagetora wants to lose weight, and Yagishita wants to have children. Rie shows no concern for Sukehiro, and in his loneliness, he turns to Kyoko. Meanwhile, Kagetora, dead drunk, brings home some young workers from the office, leading to a real stir in the company housing.

Episode 10
Kagetora's worst fears are realized. Sukehiro is Kyoko's new man, and Rie knows. Everyone is worried about the Kameyama's. In the meantime, Rie thrusts divorce papers before Sukehiro. To help the depressed Sukehiro, Minako hatches a bold plan...

Episode 11
Both Rie and Saori are pregnant. Sukehiro is elated, Kagemaru hasn't said a word about it, and the Yagishita's are shocked to have been bypassed. The company housing women are petitioning against the construction of a new apartment building next door. Everyone goes to the hot springs, and with their fun in full swing, a terrible call regarding their beloved housing comes...

Episode 12 - Final Episode
The company housing will be sold. Amid the obscurity and discontent surrounding this decision, the various couples learn some special lessons at the city's spring sports meet. Kagetora, Yagishita, and Sukehiro discover who's behind the sale, and storm a company executives' meeting.
