Good News (Guddo Nyuusu)
Perhaps "Bad News" is a more fitting title for this series. Joichi might be the unluckiest man around. Anything good that happens to him is quickly followed by the worst possible news. But, no matter what the obstacle, Joichi always faces it with the greatest optimism that he "shall overcome!"

Episode 1
Joichi works for a minor film company. He's mistaken for a kidnapper when he's out scouting for a kindergartener for their next film. The mistake is cleared up, but the parents of the kids do not forgive so readily. Joichi is saved by Akiko, the mother of the boy he had been accused of kidnapping.

Episode 2
Joichi now owes 80 million yen, thanks to his boss. Co-worker Sawamura suggests he go to his family for help, but they turn a cold shoulder. Akiko gets a call from the kindergarten, saying a stranger has come to pick up her son. It turns out to be the lawyer who demanded that Joichi pay off his debts!

Episode 3
Joichi's mother dies suddenly. He finds a strange group of people gathered at his mother's home. Soon, lawyer Tange shows up and demands that Joichi pay up nearly 3 million yen in interest within three days. Joichi's day is saved when he finds a bank passbook in his name.

Episode 4
Tange puts pressure not only on Joichi and Akiko, but on the people around them too. The only way to save the film company and clear the 80 million yen debt would be to produce a super hit. Joichi begs Akiko to talk her client into allowing them to turn his book into a film.

Episode 5
Sengen tries to separate Akiko and Joichi in return for allowing his book to be made into a film. Joichi begs his co-worker's father for financial support for the film. He agrees, but only if his daughter is named producer of the film.

Episode 6
Since her father is bankrolling the film, Hinako has been made producer. Sawamura has been coerced into helping Sengen try to split up Akiko and Joichi. He spills the beans when Joichi's sister approaches him.

Episode 7
It turns out that Tange and Sengen are actually brothers! Five years ago, Tange wrote a book which his brother later published as his own work. Tange has been waiting for a chance to get even with Sengen's editor Akiko, and her publishing firm.

Episode 8
Joichi's luck seems to be turning for the better. A major firm has offered Human Pictures the chance to produce a movie and make big bucks. However, at a company party, Joichi learns that the president of the firm is Akiko's ex-husband!

Episode 9
Sengen hides out from his brother Tange while working on his newest novel. Meanwhile, Naoya is going on an excursion, but he doesn't want to go with Joichi. He has no choice when Akiko is called away. Joichi's quick action on the excursion soon has Naoya calling him "papa."

Episode 10
Now that Sengen has given them the film rights to his latest novel, Joichi's company can soon pay off their debts. However, Tange has other plans. He gives the company 10 days to pay off the debt. Naoya, lonesome for his parents, sets off alone to visit Joichi...

Episode 11
The employees of Human Pictures scurry about trying to borrow enough money to pay off Tange. They even fake an engagement in order to borrow money from Hinako's father. Curious about Tange, Joichi follows him home and makes a surprising discovery.

Episode 12 - Final Episode.
With just one day left, Joichi collapses from the stress. Gojo finally discovers the president. With just one hour to go, Tange swaggers into the office to take over the reins. Just when everyone is in the pit of despair, Akiko's boss walks in to save the day.
