Episode 1
Koito, who works at a yakiniku restaurant, begs Genji to help her boss who is being pursued by several collectors. Genji advises him to declare bankruptcy, but Tagara refuses. Soon, Genji discovers that one of the collectors has taken out life insurance on Tagara, naming himself as the beneficiary....
Episode 2
Taiyo helps Yumi file for bankruptcy when shes financially wiped out after a traffic accident. Kiwako visits those who have filed for bankruptcy, and talks them into retracting their applications. Yumi is one of those who agree.
Episode 3
Genji works to save a singer/DJ whos drowning in debt after borrowing money to put out a CD. Worried about the tactics used by the debt collectors, Genji decides his only option is flight by night. But first, the DJ wants to do a final show for a certain listener.
Episode 4
Genji meets a couple who has attempted suicide. Deducing that their problem is money, he tries to talk them into declaring bankruptcy, but they refuse. In fact, they seem to look forward to the visits by the collectors. Genji does a background check on them and discovers their secret.
Episode 5
The company Yutaro works for is nearly bankrupt and is falling behind in its salary payments. Unable to break the news to his pregnant wife, Yutaro borrows money from a loan shark. Soon, his debts are snowballing and he is forced to turn to Rising Sun for help.
Episode 6
10-year-old Kanon shows up at Rising Sun to ask them to help her mother Reiko file for bankruptcy. Raised as a spoiled rich girl, Reiko is in big trouble now that her father is dead and his company has folded....
Episode 7
Yuma was allowed to file for bankruptcy three years ago, but shes back again, begging to be allowed to file again. Since the law states you can only do so once in 10 years, Genji turns her down. However, after a bit of digging, he discovers that she is the victim of a scam artist.
Episode 8
Genji investigates a man who owes a large sum, at the request of that mans daughter. He discovers that the man has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has been borrowing money left and right in order to enjoy his final days.
Episode 9
Asamiya decides to investigate Erika, a street musician he was seeing till a month ago. He is devastated to learn that she is really Asako, a married woman. Further investigations reveal that she has been abused by her husband for years, and that is the cause of her mounting debts.
Episode 10 Final Episode (90-minutes)
A number of debtors who had taken flight by night are being caught. Genji is told by one man that he had been introduced to a lawyer who claimed to also be a facilitator for those in dire need. Although the man had followed the lawyers every instruction, he was discovered by his creditors the next day, and levied a 50% penalty on his debts. Rising Sun begins checking on the lawyer, but when Genji discovers his name, he orders the others to halt their investigations. He soon finds himself up against an angry staff who cant understand his reticence in pursuing the case. |
