Episode 1
Suzuki Ichiro (Ichiro #1) marries Asuka, who works for the same company. At their reception Ichiro meets Asuka's boss, whose name also happens to be Suzuki Ichiro. Ichiro #2 seems to be in the fast lane, personally and at work. Ichiro #1 has great reservations when he's assigned to work with Ichiro #2.
Episode 2
Ichiro#1 one-ups Ichiro #2 when he takes orders from a firm that Ichiro #2 has been courting for nearly a year. However, Ichiro #2 thumbs his nose up at his rival when he realizes how small the orders are. That doesn't stop Ichiro #1 from trying to give his orders top priority for printing.
Episode 3
Ichiro #2's wife Kaoru suspects that Asuka is pregnant, but Asuka evades her questions. Meanwhile, noting that Asuka has lost her appetite, her husband comes to the conclusion that she is pregnant, too. Soon, much to her consternation, rumors of her condition spread throughout the firm.
Episode 4
Asuka's husband, Ichiro #1, is in danger of being held responsible for a 20 million yen loss due to the typos of his careless co-workers. Ichiro #2 grovels before their unhappy client in an effort to settle the problem more reasonably. He is later enraged to discover the error was actually on the original disk received from that client.
Episode 5
Ichiro #1 goes into a panic when he's informed by his doctor that he has polyps in his stomach. Jumping to the conclusion that he doesn't have much longer to live, he even leaves a final message for Asuka on videotape. His parents become worried when he starts calling them up just to talk. Then, he goes in for a second test.
Episode 6
Now that they're in their 30's, the two Ichiros are conscious of impending middle age. One day, when Ichiro #1 and Asuka are visiting, Ichiro #2 defies anyone to call him an "old man." But, what a blow to his pride when he suddenly throws his back out!
Episode 7
Ichiro #1 is slated ot receive an award for his work. At this rate, he could very well be promoted to Section Chief before Ichiro #2 is! Unwilling to be surpassed, Ichiro #2 puts even greater effort into his work. Meanwhile, his wife Kaoru gets waylaid by her "boxercise" coach, Toru, who steals a kiss.
Episode 8
Cracks seem to be appearing in the happy marriage of Kaoru and Ichiro #2. Ichiro #1 and his wife Asuka note that a happily married couple is not necessarily what it seems. Meanwhile, Asuka is caught between wanting her husband to succeed, and wanting his partner, Ichiro #2 to succeed.
Episode 9
Ichiro#2 sees his wife Kaoru at a hotel with Toru. Suspecting the worst, he later confronts her. She denies having an affair, but then proceeds to leave him. Meanwhile, when Asuka's father suffers a stroke, Ichiro #1 feels he must pitch in to save his in-law's rice cracker business.
Episode 10
What would you do if your wife models in the nude for a good-looking male artist? Ichiro #2 struggles with his emotions when he finds out Kaoru has done just that. What's more, the artist's studio is a hotel room!
Episode 11 - Final Episode
Ichiro #1 mails in his resignation, leaves a video letter for Asuka, and goes off all alone to "discover himself." Asuka tries to keep a brave front, with Kaoru and Ichiro #2 doing their best to bolster her spirits.
