Abarenbo Shogun 9 The very first Abarenbo Shogun series began back in 1978, with Matsudaira Ken in the lead role. At the time, Matsudaira was in his twenties. Over the years, he has grown in stature and popularity as an actor, which accounts for the longevity of this series. Matsudaira is supported once again by co-stars Takashima Tadao, Tamura Ryo and Yamamoto Joji.
